Here’s what the case is all about:

It revolves around the alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties in Noida last year. Mr. Yadav is accused of organizing these parties and incorporating snakes into his video shoots.

The police got involved after discovering a snake smuggling racket in November last year. They raided a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51 and arrested five people, including four snake charmers, for supplying snake venom. During the raid, they also seized nine snakes, including cobras and vipers.

Further investigation revealed that the venom of cobras and kraits was being used at these parties.

The case took a significant turn with the help of People For Animals, an NGO.

Now, where does Elvish Yadav come into play?

Well, when questioned about the snakes in his videos, Yadav claimed they were arranged by Bollywood singer Fazilpuria.

The five individuals arrested admitted to supplying snake venom at rave parties allegedly organized by Elvish Yadav. Their arrest followed a complaint from Gaurav Gupta, a member of PFA, who contacted Yadav for snake venom as part of a sting operation. Gupta got a phone number from Yadav, leading him to the five accused, as per police reports.

Former Union minister Maneka Gandhi also accused Yadav of illegally selling snake venom, urging for his immediate arrest. Elvish Yadav a Creator of YouTube and His Addiction To Snake Venom

Now, what’s snake venom addiction?

It’s a strange form of substance abuse where people intentionally expose themselves to snake venom for its intoxicating effects. This risky behavior, also known as ophidism, poses severe health risks and isn’t common in India.

The impact of snake venom can be quite unpredictable, even fatal, and its effects may persist for days. Over time, it can lead to both physical and psychological dependency in individuals. Elvish Yadav a Creator of YouTube and His Addiction To Snake Venom

In terms of legality, the use and possession of drugs, including those derived from snake venom, fall under the purview of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985. However, the authorities have not pressed charges against Mr. Yadav under the NDPS Act since no drugs were discovered at the scene, as per an official statement.
